Dr. Ishan Shah - Profile

Dr. Ishan Shah has earned his M.B.B.S & M.S (General Surgery) degree from one of Asia's finest & largest institutions "Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital (VS Hospital)", Ahmedabad. Thereafter, he worked as a senior resident in L.G hospital and GCS (Gujarat cancer society Medical college and Research center) for 1 year. He competed with the best brains of India and secured 12th rank in the National level super Specialty entrance exam. He earned his DNB (SURGICAL GASTROENTEROLOGY) from one of the elite institution??s of the world, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi.

Dr. Shah has worked with the Dr. Samiran Nundy, a renowned GI surgeon, academician, writer, and former head of Surgical gastroenterology department in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. Dr. Nundy was a former member of the faculty of Cambridge, London and Harvard University of USA and UK. He has also pioneered surgical Gastroenterology and liver transplantation in India. He was awarded Padma Shri for his contribution in the field. He is the founder & editor of various journals and has written many research papers in international journals. Dr. Ishan Shah has learned various aspects of patient management & complex surgeries from his mentor Prof. Nundy.

Dr. Shah has also mastered his surgical skills from Dr. Saumitra Rawat, who is currently the Chairman & Head of Department of surgical gastroenterology of Sir Gangaram hospital. Dr. Rawat was a former member of the faculty in Manchester and Liverpool University in U.K. Alongwith being an active member in various international organisations, Dr. Rawat is also a court examiner of Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a specialist in Laparoscopic surgery & Robotic surgeries across the globe.
