Liver transplantation is a complex and challenging procedure. There are many factors which causes Liver Cirrhosis (failure of liver), most common being alcoholism.

There are two options :

1. DDLT - Diseased Donor Liver Transplantation, in which whole or part of liver is being donated by brain death body.
2. LDLT - Living donor Liver Transplantation, in which normal relative/friend of family donate part of his/her liver. It is a safe procedure and liver regenerate in the donor over the period of time.
